The Vertex 10 platform represents Redcat’s next evolution in precision crawling performance.
Engineered from the ground up around a lightweight 3mm carbon‑fiber chassis, high‑clearance geometry, and a 4-link suspension system with SOA (servo-on-axle), the Vertex 10 family delivers the perfect balance of strength, responsiveness, and control. Every component from the Hobbywing brushless outrunner to the Hexfly 50kg brushless servo is selected to give drivers smooth low‑speed finesse, powerful climbing authority, and reliable performance on any terrain.
Both Vertex 10 models share the same core DNA: air emulsion-style shocks with aluminum bodies, machined ring and pinion gears, steel front axle tubes, aluminum rear tubes, and a drivetrain tuned for aggressive front‑end pull. With double‑CV front shafts, a 58‑degree steering angle, and a rigid carbon backbone, the platform is built to handle technical crawling, steep ascents, and unpredictable rock surfaces with confidence.
Where the Vertex 10 platform becomes truly versatile is in its two distinct configurations.
The Vertex 10 is designed for precision, agility, and tight‑line mastery, the crawler you choose when the terrain gets tight and technical. The Vertex 10 Wide expands the platform with a broader stance, longer wheelbase, and 2.2" wheels and tires, delivering unmatched ability on steep, loose, or high‑risk terrain.
Together, they form a complete crawling ecosystem: one built for finesse, the other for boldness, both unmistakably Redcat.
Stability that inspires bold driving.
The Redcat Vertex 10 Wide expands the Vertex platform with a broader 228mm hex‑to‑hex stance and a longer 330mm wheelbase, delivering stability on steep climbs, loose rock, and off‑camber terrain. Where the Vertex 10 excels in tight technical lines, the Wide version dominates big, open, high‑risk terrain with a planted, predictable feel.
The 3mm carbon‑fiber chassis is paired with a narrow aluminum skid plate and 74mm of ground clearance — a full centimeter more than the Standard. Larger 5.25" tires on 2.2" beadlocks give the Wide a commanding presence and improved rollover resistance. The emulsion-style shocks use the same aluminum bodies and 40wt oil as the standard version, but the Wide features tuned spring rates (0.17 N/mm front, 0.2 N/mm rear) to support its broader stance.
Power comes from the same Hobbywing 2812 1700KV brushless outrunner and WP‑10BL60 ESC, backed by the Hexfly HX‑50BL 50kg servo. But the Wide’s drivetrain is tuned differently: a more aggressive 32% overdrive (48.57:1 front / 66.79:1 rear) gives the front end even more authority, improving climbing ability and steering control on big obstacles.
Compared to the Vertex 10 standard version, the Vertex 10 Wide is the more forgiving, more stable, more confidence‑boosting crawler. It’s built for drivers who want to attack bold lines, explore rugged terrain, and push the limits without worrying about tipping or sliding.
