The Vertex 10 platform represents Redcat’s next evolution in precision crawling performance.
Engineered from the ground up around a lightweight 3mm carbon‑fiber chassis, high‑clearance geometry, and a 4-link suspension system with SOA (servo-on-axle), the Vertex 10 family delivers the perfect balance of strength, responsiveness, and control. Every component from the Hobbywing brushless outrunner to the Hexfly 50kg brushless servo is selected to give drivers smooth low‑speed finesse, powerful climbing authority, and reliable performance on any terrain.
Both Vertex 10 models share the same core DNA: air emulsion style shocks with aluminum bodies, machined ring and pinion gears, steel front axle tubes, aluminum rear tubes, and a drivetrain tuned for aggressive front‑end pull. With double CV front shafts, a 58‑degree steering angle, and a rigid carbon backbone, the platform is built to handle technical crawling, steep ascents, and unpredictable rock surfaces with confidence.
Where the Vertex 10 platform becomes truly versatile is in its two distinct configurations.
The Vertex 10 is designed for precision, agility, and tight‑line mastery, the crawler you choose when the terrain gets tight and technical. The Vertex 10 Wide expands the platform with a broader stance, longer wheelbase, and 2.2" wheels and tires, delivering unmatched stability on steep, loose, or high‑risk terrain.
Together, they form a complete crawling ecosystem: one built for finesse, the other for boldness, both unmistakably Redcat.
Precision-built for technical mastery.
The Redcat Vertex 10 is engineered for drivers who thrive on finesse, accuracy, and tight‑line crawling. Its 204mm hex‑to‑hex width gives it a natural advantage on competition‑style gates, jagged rock channels, and narrow terrain where the Vertex 10 Wide simply can’t fit. Every movement feels deliberate, controlled, and confidence inspiring.
The 3mm carbon‑fiber chassis keeps weight low and rigidity high, while the 316mm wheelbase strikes the perfect balance between breakover performance and stability. Air emulsion style shocks with aluminum bodies, 40wt oil, and 10mm 2 x 1.2mm hole pistons deliver smooth, predictable suspension response. With 4.75" tires on 1.9" beadlocks, the Vertex 10 stays planted without sacrificing agility.
Under the hood, the Vertex 10 runs a Hobbywing 2812 1700KV brushless outrunner paired with the WP‑10BL60 crawler ESC with a 10A, 8.4V BEC. Steering authority comes from the Hexfly HX‑50BL brushless servo delivering a massive 50kg of torque. A 20% overdrive split (54.64:1 front / 66.79:1 rear) gives the Vertex 10 sharp steering response and precise front‑end pull — ideal for technical crawling.
Compared to the Vertex 10 Wide, the standard width Vertex 10 is the more surgical, more agile, more technical‑minded machine. It’s built for drivers who want to pick perfect lines, squeeze through impossible gaps, and push their skill to the limit.
Vertex 10 Key Technical Specs:
Personality: agile, technical, precise
Best For: technical, narrow terrain, drivers who love finesse
Contrast: more nimble and compact than the Wide built for accuracy over footprint
