If you’re a beginner looking for a radio with features, but tight on budget, then the Taranis Q X7 is a great option. The Q X7 is a low cost simplified version and comes pre-flashed with OpenTX. The Q X7 inherits its modern futuristic sleek look from the Horus X12S along with a easy to navigate programming menu with intuitive scroll wheel push button control from the X9D plus. Thus combining features of two radio in one smart package.
This 16 channel radio has smooth quad ball bearing gimbals and is loaded with six switches (4 are 3 position) and two knobs. It runs the user friendly OpenTX and files can be shared with the popular X9D Plus. What’s new here is the multi-color LED in the center of the radio, depending on operating status, warning or switch positions etc., the LED turns Blue, Red or Green. The radio includes a gentle Haptic Vibration Feedback System, an alternative to the voice and sound alert warnings. The MicroSD card slot offers unlimited model memory options, USB port for future upgrades and to connect to a PC for adjusting settings. Both gimbals Sticks come centered with springs, with a small screw adjustment you can switch to your favorite Mode easily. One of the best features of the Taranis Q X7 is its full telemetry capability, as well as RSSI signal strength feedback. Scroll Wheel with Press to enter button makes navigating the backlit menu easy and precise. Equipped with an audio jack output and trainer port as well. Supports JR-type module bay, that can be swapped with other brand modules for use with multi protocol receivers. Additional features include Receiver Match, Real-Time Flight Data Logging and Super Low Latency for precision flying.
